Day 38 – Modifications

So this morning I had a pair of amazing clients.  One had just come off of some fairly major rehab after complications with her knee replacement, the other was her deaf son.  The 18months of immobility and bed rest made her gain nearly 100 lbs, and her son had problems with balance (due to the ears) and a basic misunderstanding of exercise science and physiology for him.

So, we trained for an hour, the whole time I was thinking:  If there is a will, there is a way.  Both of these people were having difficulty within their perspective situations, but both were set on a solution.

It doesn’t matter what has happened to you, it doesn’t matter where you are in your fitness level or ability.  If you want to get into shape, we can make it work.

Hi Kirk, wow! what an impressive traits you have. I hope your clients too will be an inspiration to those who are already frustrated because of the knee replacement recall that was ordered by FDA lately. I wonder why it took him to suffer almost 2 years when in fact, knee replacement will be recovered in just two months… maybe there’s a problem with the knee replacement device he used. Sad if its Zimmer’s. Hope not. goodluck! great job Kirk!
